The RAFHA was formed in the summer of 2004 By a group of citizens and ex servicemen who were concerned with the loss of Historic airfields and machinery relating to the RAF ultimately due to lack of education or information within council as well as private desicions over ex RAF artefacts and buildings.
many individuals had discovered pitfalls in information regarding correct procedure of wreck recovery, pursuing a decent burial for discovered war graves and how to petition to save historicly significant buildings and installations.
With this in mind, The group formed under the name RAFHA, The Royal Air Force Historic Association, In order to assist through knowledge and experience those who need guidance or assistance to achieve their goals in preserving Britain's Culturally and historically significant artefacts relating to The Royal Air Force.
Currently The Organisation does not recieve funds from any primary sponsor. The RAFHA is self funding through donations within the group.
The RAFHA is not an official representative of either The RAF or The RAFA. The RAFHA Is a historical group focusing on preservation and Education Of British Culture Through RAF Heritage.
